After being abandoned by her owner, Liberty felt confused and spent her days wandering aimlessly.

Indeed, Liberty responded positively to the other dogs and approached them eagerly, playing together for a while.
When Megan’s husband noticed the approach was successful, he thought it best to lead Liberty back home.
As he and their dogs departed, Liberty trailed behind them, confirming that the plan was in motion.
Liberty’s New Family
Eventually, they made it home, and Liberty followed them right in. In that moment, she seemed to realize she had found her new family.

To their surprise, Liberty was already 15 years old at that time.

Her Family Cherishes Her
Liberty is incredibly protective of her mom and her family. Her affection for them is immense. She was even present when the babies were brought home for the first time.
She remains by their side and experiences anxiety when they leave, likely due to past trauma.
As a senior dog, she faces various health challenges and is currently in hospice care. The veterinarians offered her family several treatment options that might prolong her life.
However, they chose to focus on making her remaining time joyful rather than pursuing extensive medical procedures.
Megan expressed: “We’re committed to giving her joyful months ahead. The kids have put together a bucket list of fun activities to do with her.”
Even with her declining health, Liberty remains a happy dog, constantly ensuring her family is alright.
While it’s heartbreaking to think about her time running short, her family is dedicated to making every moment count, helping her enjoy her remaining days.
