For Makenzie, her soul dog is Rafeal, a Golden Retriever who has been her companion since high school. They’ve enjoyed a fantastic thirteen years together in Florida, and even though he’s now a senior, they have no plans to slow down!

The beautiful aspect of Makenzie and Raffi’s relationship is that they’ve experienced nearly every milestone together! This Golden boy has stood by his momma’s side through high school, college, and into adulthood, creating countless memories.
As Rafeal reached his thirteenth year, he began to slow down and found it hard to keep up on walks or jump around the house as he once did.
That’s when Makenzie’s creativity flourished!
Rather than allowing him to stay home for his “retirement,” this kind-hearted dog mom ensured that her long-time buddy felt included.
She made it a point to involve Raffi in their activities just like before, including buying him a lovely blue wagon. Now, she regularly takes him on daily strolls and excursions together with her other dog, Benny.
