Woman Shocked to Discover Who Broke into Her Room While She Slept

Date:

A resident of Bixby, Oklahoma, was enjoying a deep slumber when an unexpected and unusual sound startled her awake in the middle of the night. Initially, Bonnie Moriarty believed her dog and cat were having a scuffle.

Little did she know that a mysterious intruder had entered her home and was making his way toward her bedroom.

Moments later, she experienced the shock of her life as her cat dashed into the bedroom, accompanied by an unfamiliar animal that was definitely not her dog.

“I woke up and the cat and the coyote came running into my room. It was still dark,” she recalled.

Moriarty screamed at the top of her lungs, astonished by the unexpected sight. She quickly flicked on the lights, revealing the coyote crouching in the corner of her room.

Upon hearing his mother’s screams, her dog rushed into the bedroom, barking furiously at the coyote.

The coyote appeared frightened and remained motionless, uncertain of what to do next.

Moriarty’s husband was away, and their children were peacefully sleeping upstairs. Alarmed by their mother’s cries, they woke up and hurried downstairs to find out what was happening.

Moriarty speculated that the coyote had followed her cat into the house. Since the back door wasn’t securely latched, it was an easy entry for him.

“He somehow lunged at the door and it swung open,” she explained.

The Coyote Is Glad To Return Home

She immediately called the authorities, and they arrived shortly after.

Three police officers entered Moriarty’s bedroom with the intention of capturing the wild intruder using catch poles. After carefully placing a loop around the coyote’s neck, they safely removed him from the house and set him free.

The coyote was relieved. Eager to return to his home, he swiftly dashed into the nearby woods in Bixby, Oklahoma.

This was certainly an unexpected turn of events for him. Being escorted by the police was not something he envisioned while pursuing the cat.

Although coyotes can occasionally pose a threat to pets, they rarely venture inside a home.

This particular coyote seemed to have gotten a bit too carried away by the sight of Moriarty’s cat. Upon realizing he was indoors, he appeared frightened and bewildered. We doubt he will repeat that mistake anytime soon.

We are thankful that nobody was harmed during this unusual incident.
