Every dog yearns for a loving home and caring guardians who express their affection daily.
It saddens me to realize how many forsaken puppies never received the love and nurturing they rightfully deserved.
This narrative revolves around five puppies who were left on the streets at a time when they needed compassion and care most.
Here is their tale.
Puppies in Need of Assistance

In March 2023, Lisa Chiarelli, who founded Frankie Lola & Friends, a dog rescue organization in Los Angeles, California, was contacted for help and received a photo of a charming little puppy. He had been left alone in a cardboard box.
Without hesitation, Chiarelli agreed to provide assistance.
The following morning brought an unexpected twist—there were four additional puppies nestled in the same box.
Determined to rescue the entire group, she quickly arranged for all the puppies to be brought to her facility. As they arrived, Chiarelli welcomed them with open arms, ensuring they felt safe, cherished, and at home.

Upon seeing them, she realized it would take some time for the puppies to fully recuperate. They were underweight and quite small. At that time, they were approximately 7 to 8 weeks old.
The veterinarians at the rescue sprang into action to restore their health, ensuring that they received timely medication.
Everyone at the clinic lavished love on the adorable puppies, showering them with affection.
“With a combination of love, medication, and trust, they thrived. Their appetites increased, they began to gain weight, and their playful nature emerged,” stated Chiarelli.
The puppies were given the names Christian, Harlow, Daisy, Ollie, and Aurora. They loved to curl up and play with their toys.
Fast forward three weeks, and they were back to full health and ready to transition to foster homes.
On the Hunt for a Forever Family

The crucial next step was locating permanent homes for the puppies. While all of his siblings found their loving homes, Christian was still patiently awaiting his. At almost 5 months old, he was the longest-serving resident at Frankie Lola and Friends rescue.
Chiarelli lauded him as the ideal companion, noting that he loved walks and was wonderful with children. She recognized that his longer wait for adoption might be due to his darker coat.
“We have a soft spot for black dogs, and he is stunning and deserves a loving home. He should not be overlooked.”

In June 2023, Christian’s dream finally came true. He joined his forever family, who adored him from the moment they met.
We are overjoyed that all the puppies found loving families that cherish them. They will never experience abandonment again.
