The moment Sol laid eyes on this delightful puppy, she was captivated.
Nala’s Journey
When Nala was just a puppy, she was being sold in a cardboard box outside a grocery store in Southern California. A Good Samaritan noticed her and quickly stepped in to help, concerned about where she might end up.
Determined to ensure the puppy’s safety, they purchased Nala and took her to the Bullies and Buddies Rescue.
As a seasoned foster, Sol felt an immediate connection with Nala upon seeing her sparkling eyes and decided to become her foster mom.
Welcoming The Adorable Puppy
Sol brought Nala into her home, and the bond between them blossomed beautifully. They exchanged affection and warmth with each passing day. With every moment spent together, Sol discovered her heart growing fonder of the charming dog.
As part of fostering, Sol took Nala to various adoption events. Each trip left her emotionally torn.
“I secretly wished she wouldn’t get adopted because I wanted her all to myself. After two unsuccessful adoption attempts, I realized there was no way I could let her go,” Sol shared with GeoBeats Animals.
Eventually, Nala became Sol’s forever companion, and together they formed an inseparable friendship. Sol lovingly refers to her as “a big, beautiful, luscious, furry hippopotamus.”
This lovely dog is constantly seeking her owner’s attention. Whenever Sol is on a Zoom call, Nala insists on being a part of it.
Sol acknowledges that Nala is indeed spoiled, but she wouldn’t want it any other way.
“She represents everything about being a pampered dog. But she deserves every bit of it because she is my treasure,” Sol expressed.
Even though Nala is a large dog, she has an evident fear of rain and wind, often retreating to her mom’s closet for comfort.
Lifelong Companions
Sol has found the perfect partner in Nala, providing comfort to each other. When Nala senses that her mom is feeling down, she instinctively moves close, resting her head on Sol’s lap to offer comfort.
Nala enjoys cuddling with her mom, showing her affection in every possible way.
“We spend every night in bed, and in the morning, she returns to cuddle. She is the reason I wake up with a smile,” Sol shared.
Living her best life in California, Nala delights in lounging on the couch, blissfully cuddling with her family.
