Hearing loud screams in the middle of the night isn’t pleasant, but for one compassionate woman, fear is not an option. Kaitlyn, a rescuer from Adams County Pet Rescue in Othello, Washington, quickly sprang into action!
She sensed immediately that the sounds were not human, but determining the source took a bit longer until she looked under her car.
A Shocking Sight

At 11 P.M., Kaitlyn was returning home after letting her dogs out when she heard distressing sounds from beneath her car. When she finally investigated, something remarkable caught her attention: a frightened dog with two sparkling eyes peeking out in fear, hiding under the vehicle.
This terrified dog was difficult to reach, and Kaitlyn never imagined the rescue would turn into such a wild adventure. Instead of a simple call for the dog to come, things quickly escalated.
“The pup darted out from under the car with Kaitlyn chasing after it. She had to act fast to prevent the dog from running into the night and being lost,” the rescue noted.

Fortunately, the pup didn’t venture into the fields but circled Kaitlyn’s house instead, showing signs of fear but unwilling to leave the safety of her new “fenced refuge.” Barefoot and determined, Kaitlyn gathered a small team to help corner the puppy safely, leading to a successful rescue.
“Whenever Kaitlyn calls at 11 p.m., I always know it’s something interesting, and I better pick up. When she’s breathless, it’s bound to be exciting,” the Washington-based rescue commented in a Facebook post.
The dog was safely transported to the facility for further care.
Primavera Has A Whole New Life Now

Despite her traumatic past, the dog, now named Primavera, quickly blossomed with the help of the ACPR. She found a temporary foster home and began learning about life anew, transforming from a frightened pup to a sociable, friendly dog excited to meet new faces.
Primavera adores rides in a puppy buggy and loves to chase balls and carry her toys around. She thrives on affection and is eager to be where people are.

“She loves chasing balls, chew toys, carrying her stuffies around, and hanging out in the backyard. She’s very social now and always wants to be around people,” the ACPR team shared on Facebook.
Though still learning, there’s no doubt Primavera will make an excellent companion. When the time is right, she will be ready to join a forever family, embarking on new adventures and meeting new friends.
After everything she’s been through, she truly deserves this happiness!
