Haven’t we all experienced the comfort of our grandparents’ laps at some point in our lives? Isn’t that the most snug, safest place on earth?
Well, Zoe would definitely respond with “Absolutely!”
This adorable Pittie girl from Atlanta isn’t very selective, except when it comes to her human companions. There’s only one person she adores beyond measure – her granny!
“The World Revolves Around My Granny,” Says Zoe
Don’t get me wrong – Zoe’s affection for her mom, Raven, is undeniable. However, the bond she shares with her granny is truly boundless.
“I genuinely believe that Zoe favors Grandma over me,” Raven shared with The Dodo.
When Zoe and her grandmother are together, the rest of the world simply fades away. She tunes out her mom completely and her granny’s lap becomes her only focus!
There are moments when Raven attempts to take her chunky little princess out for a walk (something Zoe dislikes most of the time since she’d rather lounge around and snack), but her efforts often lead to failure.
But then enters grandma!
“She refuses to walk whenever I take her outside. But when Zoe is with her Grandma, she’s a completely different dog,” says Raven.
Zoe transforms into a brand-new, obedient, well-mannered, and at times, the most disciplined doggo around Raven’s mom. There’s an undeniable magnetism between her and her grandmother, leading Zoe to love every moment spent by her side.
Grandma is also there to shield Zoe from “scoldings” from Raven when she’s being a little too demanding for treats (especially cookies!).
Grandma always has a tactful argument ready justifying why Zoe deserves an extra snack or why she can indulge in some goodies. The ultimate grandma approval, for sure!
The “grandma’s around” sign that Zoe knows so well is her utterly cute and comical side-eye!
“Zoe loves giving me a side-eye when she’s with Grandma. It’s as if I’m intruding on their special time together,” says her mom.
She effortlessly signals to her mom that it “is not the moment for their cuddle time to be interrupted.” And she does it with an adorably haunting flair!
Alright, Momma, You’re Free To Go Too
Things may not be as exclusive as they appear. Sure, granny’s number one, but Raven is very much a part of the picture!
After all, she’s Zoe’s mother, who adores her endlessly, and this Pittie girl certainly knows it. She wholeheartedly loves her Atlanta home, and I’m sure if given the choice, she wouldn’t exchange it for anything.
Raven is thrilled to have another person who cares for Zoe as much as she does. With Zoe being a Pitbull, witnessing her receive so much love and break the stereotypes associated with her breed is heartwarming.
Thanks to the unique connection between Zoe and her grandmother, countless individuals around the globe are discovering how wonderful and affectionate Pitties can be.
And Zoe is undeniably one of the finest examples!
