Many people believe that starting your day by making your bed can lead to a successful day ahead.
Sophie Gallagher, a dedicated woman, established a morning routine of making her bed right after waking up, hoping to keep it neat and tidy throughout the day.
Yet, she began to notice that by mid-day, her bed would be completely unmade – the covers askew and pillows scattered everywhere.
It didn’t take long for her to uncover the truth behind this mystery.
The Adorable Culprit

In a TikTok video, Sophie shared that her 18-month-old dog, Dot, was the one responsible for this chaos. The video showcases Dot playfully hiding under the covers, exhibiting her charming and snuggly nature.
Despite Sophie putting in the effort to keep her bed pristine, it made no difference to Dot. Dot would seize any chance to jump onto the bed for a cozy nap.
During a chat with Newsweek, Sophie confessed that she used to blame her boyfriend for the bed disarray, only to realize later that “the Queen was tucking herself in.”

Despite Dot being given a spot in the bed since her rescue in 2022, she felt that it simply was not sufficient.
This sleepy little one would hop into bed whenever she pleased and linger there for as long as she desired.
Delighted by these adorable antics, Sophie couldn’t resist sharing them on TikTok, showcasing the cutest rebel around.
The delightful video earned Dot TikTok fame in just days!
“I work from home on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, so after morning runs, she loves to return to bed and snuggle under the covers. She takes her time settling in, and we’ve come to accept that it’s also her bed. I can’t get mad at her; it’s just too amusing. We feel really fortunate to have such a playful dog,” she shared with Newsweek.
Though many assume this is standard dog behavior, the American Kennel Club (AKC) asserts there are reasons behind it.
For instance, some dogs seek refuge in a bed due to anxiety or discomfort, as it offers them a sense of comfort and security.
Conversely, other dogs may simply enjoy the warmth and companionship that beds provide.

Fortunately, Sophie has no objection to Dot’s endearing behavior – if it makes her beloved pup happy, she’s entirely on board.
Happy Pup, Happy Human
Sophie expressed that adopting Dot has brought her immense joy and she encourages everyone to consider doing the same if possible.
“There’s so much fulfillment in providing a neglected dog with the best possible life, filled with cuddles, leisurely mornings, walks, and plenty of treats,” she remarked.
Knowing Dot’s past, allowing her the freedom to sleep as she pleases is the least she can do, a sentiment echoed in the comments of the video.
“I never expected the video to gain such attention. Initially, it was just for my own records of the delightful times with Dot, but the reaction has been hilarious,” Sophie stated.

It truly warms my heart to see pet parents allowing their fur babies to engage in activities that bring them joy.
While Sophie can make her bed as often as she likes, capturing Dot’s adorable face snugly tucked under those covers is an experience that’s priceless.
