Embracing a New Role
Harlow has been a cherished member of her Californian family for years, consistently proving to be an exceptional pet! When their first child, a baby boy named Carter, arrived, Harlow instinctively switched to her caretaker mode.
“When Carter joined our family, Harlow naturally took on the role of a nanny dog. She would stay beside him all day long,” shared Denise with The Dodo.
She approached her new role with utmost seriousness, as if her essential duty was to provide love and safety to Carter, ensuring he was always within her sight.
There was an innate voice inside her, guiding her: “Hey, this little one is now your 24/7 mission. Take care of him!”
As time passed, an extraordinary bond developed between Harlow and Carter. Throughout those initial months, they were often found lying close to each other, cherishing those special moments. By the time Carter turned eight months old, he began playing fetch with Harlow, who absolutely adored it!
“Although they can’t understand each other verbally, they have a wonderful way of communicating,” remarks Denise.
Once Carter took his first steps, a new chapter of adventure began!
