Dogs are creatures that embody genuine affection. The same holds true for babies and toddlers, whose emotions remain untainted by external influences.

Only Baby In The Room
Before Lisa’s arrival, Anastasia and her family were eager to welcome a dog into their lives. Though they were keen on the idea, they understood the weight of the commitment.
Nonetheless, when friends surprised them with a lovely white puppy, they simply couldn’t resist. They quickly fell for the puppy and named him Reus. Throughout his puppy days and into adulthood, Reus brought boundless joy to their lives.
“I’d never encountered a dog so intelligent and friendly,” Anastasia shared with Cuddle Buddies. “He never misbehaved or left a mess, unless mud was involved. True to puppy nature, he was always the center of attention.”
Reus relished being the sole ‘baby’ in the household. Anastasia noted that he wasn’t fond of snuggles or excessive petting like most dogs. However, “he was always thrilled to play and run around.”
“Reus was unique, the ideal family dog,” reflected Anastasia, adding, “Little did he know, changes were on the horizon.”
Soon enough, Reus would no longer hold the spotlight, but this wouldn’t bother him at all. In fact, it would usher in even more happiness.
His Happiest Day
After Anastasia discovered she was expecting Lisa, Reus became inseparable from her. He would often rest his head on her lap, sensing the joy that awaited them.
“I was uncertain about many things at that moment, but I knew we needed to prepare for him to meet the baby,” Anastasia recalled.
When the fateful day arrived, and Lisa was born, Anastasia placed her in the crib and invited Reus to meet her. Fortunately, Reus responded beautifully. Initially bewildered, he eventually understood the joy that had entered their lives.
“He was bewildered at first, having never seen a baby before,” said Anastasia. “But within those few minutes, he resolved to protect this little one always.”
From that point on, their love story blossomed. Reus was constantly at Lisa’s side, attending to her cries and celebrating her laughter. The day she began crawling marked one of his happiest moments.
During tumultuous times for their country, Reus took on added responsibilities, accompanying his mother to help children and the elderly. Nonetheless, he always returned to his cherished girl at the end of each day, much like a guardian angel.
“Even in these uncertain times, I feel assured that Reus watches over my family,” stated Anastasia. “Most importantly, he watches over his best friend.”
