As a former proud dog owner, I can say that losing my pup brought immense heartbreak, a feeling that anyone who has owned a dog can relate to. Although it may seem like the pain is endless, time truly does heal all wounds. While some people recover and choose not to adopt again, others, like Whitney, decide to save more dogs, sharing the same love for our beloved pets.
Whitney, who recently experienced the loss of her dog, felt it was the right time to help another pup in need. Enter Glinda.
Meet Glinda

When Whitney decided to foster again, she checked the euthanasia list to find the dogs needing help the most, and that’s when she spotted Glinda. Adorable and reminiscent of her late dog Luna, Whitney felt a connection and knew Glinda needed a new foster home with her.
Upon meeting Glinda at the Texas shelter, Whitney felt welcomed as Glinda, although uncertain, quickly let her guard down. They greeted each other warmly, exchanging a sense of friendship. Whitney observed that Glinda was a bit sick, needing treatment before becoming her foster.

They quickly became friends, and the anxious look on Glinda’s face turned into joy and excitement. Whitney noticed that Glinda needed some treatment due to health issues stemming from overbreeding, but she was grateful to have someone to support her through recovery.
Her New Foster Home

Once her health issues were addressed, it was time to bring Glinda to her new foster home in Texas. Overjoyed, she explored every corner of her new surroundings, and Whitney made sure she felt comfortable and secure as Glinda began her journey to recovery, aiming to enjoy life until she was ready for adoption.

Glinda’s happiness shines through as she finally received the love and care she deserves, fulfilling Whitney’s wish for her. With a remarkable recovery in progress, it was time for Glinda to find her forever family, placing her on an adoption list where she waits for the right match. While her future remains uncertain, she is safely in the hands of her rescuers, and that’s what truly matters.
