I have come across numerous tragic tales of dogs being abandoned, but this latest case from Surprise, Arizona has shattered my heart. Footage of a cruel woman tossing a dog onto the street was shared on Facebook. At the start of a video, a red SUV can be seen navigating a dead-end street. As the driver makes a U-turn, a woman flings a black-and-white puppy onto the asphalt.
Just before speeding off, she mockingly bids the dog “bye-bye,” leaving him both hurt and bewildered. Despite the mistreatment, the pup chased after the car, desperately hoping to be taken back.
An Eye-Witness Was Shocked

Witnessing this heartbreaking scene on March 8th, 2025, Joanna Buesen, while walking her dog, felt overwhelmed with a mix of emotions. “I was angered, flabbergasted, and just shocked,” she shared with Arizona Family. Upon seeing the sad dog attempting to catch up with the car, she spoke softly to him, providing some comfort. Sensing her kindness, the puppy ran towards her, relieved to find he wasn’t alone.

Buesen brought the abandoned dog home and fed him. Later, animal control took the pup into their care. Buesen denounced the owner’s actions, particularly highlighting the heartless farewell caught on film.
“They showed no remorse, clearly indicating malicious intent. Life can be tough, but that’s no excuse to be soulless,” she remarked.
Looking For A Second Chance At Love
The authorities were notified and have launched an investigation. Fortunately, the license plate of the irresponsible owner was visible, enabling investigators to pursue leads. On March 11th, 2025, FOX 10 Phoenix reported that the individuals responsible for abandoning the dog have been identified. A man and woman who owned the dog turned themselves in and are now facing animal cruelty charges. The puppy has been taken to an Arizona shelter where he will be made available for adoption, hopefully to find a loving family that will provide him with the care he deserves. Let’s hope this sweet boy can soon forget the pain he’s endured and embrace a new, loving home.
