Finally Rescued From A Miserable Life Of Survival
There are many homeless dogs on the streets, and those who need the most help often go unnoticed.
One small, injured dog, cruelly abandoned by its owner, survived by rummaging through garbage until one fateful day, luck was on his side.
A compassionate woman couldn’t ignore the sight of a little dog approaching her, whining for food, with a look of desperation in his eyes.
She quickly scooped him up and placed him in a box kindly provided by a nearby shop employee who had seen the situation.
Initially, Sanjo, as she named him, was cautious and distrustful of his rescuer, which was completely understandable given his circumstances.
However, after experiencing a warm home, a soothing bath, and an abundance of love and attention from her, he gradually began to trust again.
And thus, his new life was set to commence.
Tough Recovery Full Of Ups And Downs
Sanjo’s new mom promptly took him to a veterinarian for an examination to assess his health status.
After a thorough checkup, the vet confirmed that he exhibited skin issues and was underweight.
Regrettably, this small clinic lacked the necessary facilities for more comprehensive health evaluations, necessitating a visit to a larger, more advanced pet clinic.
Determined to “bring happiness back to this little dog’s life”, she pushed for this visit. After a meticulous examination, including X-rays, they discovered that Sanjo suffered from congenital dysplasia.
This meant the pup was semi-paralyzed due to his back leg’s dysfunction. Unfortunately, the chances of successful surgical intervention were slim, and the procedure would be costly.
An alternative approach involved a nutritious diet to help manage his weight. At this juncture, she had no choice but to opt for this method.
From that point forward, things started to improve. Sanjo thrived on the affection and care he received and, having been accustomed to poor-quality food from the streets, was not picky at all.
He was playful, full of love, and didn’t find it difficult to walk or explore, considering his health issues.
However, ten days later, things shifted slightly. He appeared less cheerful and lost interest in food. It seemed he had entered a state of depression.
This prompted his mom to explore more about a potential surgery. Eventually, she located an excellent veterinarian who informed her it was safe to remove the femoral head of the left leg without the risk of paralysis.
Not wanting to give up on Sanjo, she managed to save some money and arranged for the surgery.
The surgery was a success, and Sanjo quickly regained his joyful disposition. He sensed that the brightest days of his new life were finally ahead.
The Journey Of His New Life
Sanjo blossomed in his recovery, becoming the happiest dog in the world. Everything he had been deprived of during his tough early life was now his.
To commemorate his new beginnings, his mom, alongside a friend, decided on a trip. No one enjoyed that experience more than Sanjo. His leg healed fully, and he was finally free to run, hike, and make new friends.
During a walk in the forest, he wandered off a bit and was discovered by a park ranger with his own dog.
Yearning for the companionship he had missed for so long, Sanjo quickly befriended both the dog and its owner with his infectious spirit.
Wherever he went, this rejuvenated pup radiated positivity that everyone felt drawn to.
Though he had his moments of mischief, Sanjo matured into a remarkable, large dog who continued to bring joy to his mother’s life.
