Samantha once had a loving home and an owner who adored her—a true dream come true. Unfortunately, everything changed when her beloved owner suffered a stroke and could no longer care for her. A Second Chance At Happiness
A shelter volunteer reached out to A Purposeful Rescue, a group dedicated to saving dogs at risk of being euthanized. Upon seeing Samantha’s intake photo, they felt deep sorrow and quickly arranged to pull her from the Los Angeles shelter. Overjoyed to be free again, Samantha couldn’t stop wagging her tail as she left. She was placed in the care of Kimberly and her husband, regular fosters for the rescue, who immediately showered Samantha with love.
Due to masses on her body, Samantha needed surgery to have them removed. Her foster family provided her with pampering and care during her recovery. As she gradually healed, she enchanted them with her affectionate nature, quickly becoming an absolute love bug.
Samantha formed a profound bond with her foster family, especially with her foster dad. She adores her foster parents and wants to be with them at all times. Kimberly shared, “She has a lovely relationship with my husband. She’s ready to give kisses and hugs, and that’s just another testament to how loving she is,” in a discussion with GeoBeats Animals.

Hoping To Find A Place To Call Home
It’s hard not to notice Samantha’s zest for life; she loves rolling in the grass and dances with the biggest smile on her face. Her foster family considers her the perfect dog; she is sociable and adores everyone she encounters.
“Samantha really is the perfect dog. She loves children, she loves other dogs, she likes cats. She is friends with everybody. There is not a grumpy bone in her body,“ Kimberly added. The adorable senior dog is available for adoption through A Purposeful Rescue. While she enjoys her loving foster home, Samantha longs to find a forever family to whom she can give all her love.
