A courageous mother dog, later named Frankie, fought to protect her five puppies after they were abandoned in the jungle on Saipan. Despite their dire living conditions and the scarcity of food, Frankie remained hopeful, showering her babies with love as she anxiously awaited a miracle.
The Miracle That The Dog Was Waiting For
While Aria and Grace Keilbach were feeding stray dogs, they stumbled upon Frankie and her puppies and immediately sprang into action. Although Frankie was initially distrustful and hesitant, her puppies desperately approached their rescuers, appearing to plead for help. Covered in ticks and fleas, the puppies also showed signs of being infested with worms, prompting Aria and Grace to rush them to the vet for urgent care.
Even though Frankie remained wary, snapping at her rescuers when they attempted to save her, Aria and Grace decided to take her puppies first, fearing she might move them elsewhere if they left. As Aria stated, “When you know that the puppies aren’t going to survive the night, you have to do it and then just come back for Mom.” They quickly collected the puppies in a basket and rushed them for medical attention.
The following day, the rescuers returned to the jungle to rescue Frankie. This time, however, Frankie was waiting for them on the roadside. Her demeanor had changed; she followed their car eagerly. Despite being offered food, she refused to eat, focusing instead on sniffing the vehicle in search of her lost puppies.
A Heartwarming Reunion
Eager to be reunited with her puppies, Frankie jumped into the car through the window, curling up on the front seat. Despite her malnourished and exhausted state, she felt a deep sense of comfort, sensing her children were close. Upon arriving at their home, she immediately rushed to the door upon hearing the puppies squealing.
As soon as Aria and Grace opened the door, Frankie rushed to her kids, showering them with love. The puppies responded with joyous tail wags and excited jumps, ecstatic to be reunited with their mother. While we may not know the details of what came next for this lovely family, one can only hope they found enduring homes filled with love and care.
