One of the things that frustrates me the most is witnessing people abandoning their puppies when they become too burdensome.
Even more disturbing is when they dispose of them in remote areas with no access to help. This behavior is beyond my comprehension.
It would be much more humane to take them to a shelter where they have a chance of finding a loving home.
This unfortunate puppy was left behind by its former owner in the middle of the desert at a time when it needed assistance the most. Thankfully, not everything was as bleak as it seemed.
A woman working nearby spotted the poor dog and chose to reach out for assistance.
A Call For Help

When Jeanean Gillespie initially encountered this distressed puppy roaming the California desert, her heart ached, prompting her to take action.
The area had unfortunately become a spot where many animals were abandoned, which is truly heartbreaking.
She reached out to her friend, Suzette Hall, for assistance. Meanwhile, she tried to help the puppy by providing it with food and water, but the puppy was too frightened to be caught.
Whenever they came close, the terrified pup fled into the distance, so Jeanean decided to leave the food and water near her office’s entrance.

The hope was that the puppy would become hungry enough to return and perhaps feel more at ease.
The personnel observed that the puppy consistently chose to sleep by the office doors, evidently finding comfort in the presence of those who wanted to help her.
Despite their efforts, the rescue was proving challenging as they needed to devise a strategy to capture her.
The Puppy Was Safe

Subsequently, Jeanean successfully enticed the puppy into her office with food, securing her capture in a surprisingly straightforward manner.
However, there was a hitch: the puppy was still so frightened that it wouldn’t allow anyone to come near.
This is when Suzette Hall stepped in. As soon as she arrived at the location in California, she got right to work.
The puppy was exhausted, and Suzette gently approached her, offering comfort, which proved effective.

In that moment, the puppy melted in her embrace, finally at peace knowing she was safe.
Suzette then took her back to her car, where the puppy promptly fell asleep. She clearly enjoyed her journey back to the shelter.
It’s truly inspiring to witness how patience and kindness can help traumatized animals overcome their fears.
Suzette and her friend Jeanean have provided this puppy with a fresh start in her life, and it’s heartwarming to realize she will be alright.
