I cannot fathom how anyone could abandon dogs to fend for themselves. Even more troubling are those who leave behind pregnant dogs.
Such actions condemn not just one life, but many, and it’s truly a despicable act. Who knows what fate awaits the helpless puppies after birth?
Life on the streets is bleak, and options for securing food are few. This was the fate of a pregnant pup who found herself deserted by her owner.
He simply tied her to a fence and walked away. Heartbroken, she had no means to change her situation. Fortunately, a compassionate woman witnessed the incident and quickly contacted rescuers.
The Rescuers Arrived
When a rescuer arrived, she was appalled to see a soon-to-be mama dog left in such a way.
Approaching her, she found the pup to be incredibly sweet. The pregnant dog willingly hopped into the rescuer’s car, appearing to survey her new surroundings.
It seemed she still held onto the hope that her owner would return, yet deep down, she looked depressed. Her rescuer, however, was determined to uplift her spirits.
Before heading to the vet, she took the dog for a stroll, aiming to provide a sense of safety and comfort.
The rescuer quickly noticed the dog’s frail condition, even while pregnant. It was clear that the pup had faced neglect.
After a comforting walk, they proceeded to the veterinary clinic. The veterinarian informed her rescuer that the dog had several health issues, but they would address them soon.
A Big Surprise for the Veterinarians
The following morning, everyone was taken aback to find that she had given birth to 12 puppies. That’s quite a substantial litter!
The exhausted mother dog still had the responsibility of caring for her little ones. Fortunately, her veterinary team was there to assist her continuously.
The vets were aware that it wouldn’t be possible to treat her health issues immediately. She was battling anemia, a weakened immune system, diarrhea, and parasites.
Treatment would require antibiotics, which could be demanding on her body, so they opted to wait. Their immediate focus was on a struggling puppy.
Efforts were made to help feed the puppy, yet he remained smaller than his siblings. His recovery would take time.
The mother, however, gradually regained her strength, and it was finally time for her treatment to commence.
Her appetite increased significantly, and her spirits lifted considerably. The rescuers continued to care for the puppies, who were all growing rapidly, including the smallest one.
The Start of a New Adventure
In no time, the mother dog had nearly fully recovered and was finally in a safe place. The puppies also showed remarkable growth in a short span.
Each day, they grew cuter and cuter. The mother, now named Yuly, is thriving with her caring rescuers. She is now practically unrecognizable.
Now that all the puppies have matured and their mother is safe, the rescuers added them to the adoption list.
One by one, Yuly and her puppies found loving homes, and they now enjoy quality time with their new families. Their rescuers and the veterinary staff take immense pride in their journey.
This mama dog transformed from abandonment and sorrow to a renewed life filled with love, and I couldn’t be happier for her and her puppies.
