Rescuers Discover Mama Dog Abandoned at Arkansas House and Uncover She Has Puppies with Her

Date:

In a moment of desperation, a mama dog and her puppies were abandoned at a desolate house in Arkansas when they needed affection and care the most.

Worried for her little ones, the mother dog sought refuge under the house, hiding them from potential dangers.

Feeling betrayed and heavy-hearted, she cuddled her puppies, wishing to shield them from harm.

As her babies nestled against her, absorbing her love, the mama found the strength to fight for their safety.

Determined to protect them, she resolved to do everything in her power to keep them safe.

Collaboration to Save the Dog Family

When experienced rescuer Shyan Noah came across a Facebook plea about the abandoned dog family, she immediately set out to assist.

Prior to her arrival, other rescuers attempted to help, but the frightened mother was resistant to their efforts.

In a brief moment of distraction, the rescue team managed to secure a few of her puppies.

Upon Noah’s arrival, she noticed the sorrowful look on the weary mother dog’s face.

Understanding the need to build trust, she sat down next to the dog, offering her food and speaking gently to assure her she meant no harm.

Despite her dire situation, the mother dog struggled to trust humans with her precious pups.

Refusing to give up, Noah began to hand-feed the mother, gradually wining her trust.

It brought her joy when finally the mother dog allowed her to gently touch her.

“I was able to gain Mama’s trust enough to let me feed her out of my hand and give her short little pets,” Noah shared with The Dodo.

Recognizing the ongoing hesitation of the mother dog, the rescuers opted to use a humane trap to secure her.

They celebrated when they finally succeeded in bringing her to safety.

With the mother safe, their attention turned to the puppies.

As terrified as she was, the puppies remained hidden under the structure, avoiding capture for several days.

Fortunately, the rescuers outsmarted the clever pups and let out a collective sigh of relief.

The rescues revealed that the puppies were overrun with ticks and fleas.

Initially, they were wary of their rescuers and reactive to attempts at help.

However, trust was gradually established through feeding and affectionate care, and the sweet pups began to feel secure.

One of the rescuers grew fond of the mama dog and offered her a loving forever home.

Noah took the puppies into her care, providing a warm and nurturing environment for them to recover and flourish.

The spirited and lively puppies keep their foster family entertained and on their toes.

“[They] are happy, healthy little escape artists who love finding their way out of their designated area to join everyone else in the house,” Noah expressed.

NOVASTAR RESCUE, located in Dover, Arkansas, is committed to finding forever homes for the puppies.

I’m confident that these precious pups will capture the hearts of kind humans who will provide them with the joyful life they deserve.
