One such dog, Triton, believed his owner cherished him when he was taken to a Savannah, Georgia hospital for treatment of his broken leg. However, instead of care, he was left outside as his owner drove away, forever altering Triton’s life.
Confused And Heartbroken
This heartbreaking moment of Triton’s abandonment was captured by the surveillance camera of VCA Greater Savannah Animal Hospital. The hospital staff rushed to help him after witnessing his despair. They were moved by Triton’s sad demeanor and immediately conducted X-rays and applied a cast to his leg at no cost.
After his treatment, the hospital staff contacted The Humane Society for Greater Savannah to continue caring for Triton. Without hesitation, they accepted and set out to heal his heart alongside his leg.
People Who Won’t Betray Him
Once under the loving care of the humane society in Savannah, Georgia, Triton began receiving affection to help heal his emotional scars. Simultaneously, they sought a foster home where a loving family could provide him with constant care. The humane society noted, “Triton would thrive in a quieter home, preferably without other dogs,” as they shared in a Facebook post.
Fortunately, it didn’t take long for a compassionate woman to step up and offer Triton a foster home. The humane society celebrated this moment, sharing their joy in a new Facebook post. They expressed, “We are so grateful for our amazing community and how quickly everyone shared his story! It did not take long for us to find someone who so generously offered to care for him.” They also shared that “he is doing really good and recovering in peace and quiet and with a whole lot of love!”
