Pitty’s Heart Shines with Love for New Baby Sister: Their Bond is Unbreakable

Date:

There’s a well-known stigma surrounding Pitbulls, but Nova, a lovable blue-nose Pittie, showcases that affection transcends breed stereotypes.

This charming pup exemplifies the gentle and caring nature often attributed to these frequently misjudged dogs.

Nova developed an unwavering bond with his baby sister even before her birth, and when they finally met, his eyes radiated pure love.

Meeting The Tiny Human

From the outset, Nova’s family was confident he would be an exceptional big brother because since he arrived in their lives, he has consistently been a loving and well-mannered dog.

“I always knew Nova would be an amazing big brother because when he came into our family as a puppy, he was the most loving, silly, playful, curious, protective, and loyal dog ever,” shared Kayla, Nova’s mom, with The Dodo.

He truly cherishes his smaller furry sibling, Teddy, displaying gentleness and affection toward him from their first encounter.

“Teddy is more reserved than Nova and prefers his alone time, but Nova never gives up on engaging with him! Seeing their relationship made me realize how much love he has to share, confirming he would be a fantastic big brother,” Kayla mentioned.

Upon learning of the pregnancy with a baby girl, Nova grew very attached to his mom, constantly showering her with affection and remaining by her side.

He loved resting on his mom’s belly, finding comfort in the soothing rhythm of the baby’s heartbeat.

“When I was expecting my daughter, he would lie against my stomach. He always needed to curl up in bed with us. It was as if he sensed my daughter was there,” Nova’s mom reminisced.

Nova was bursting with joy to meet his baby sister and offer her endless love.

While they were certain he would excel as a big brother, his family was nonetheless eager to observe his first interaction with the baby.

The Best Big Brother

It’s safe to declare that Nova exceeded expectations. His heartwarming reaction was priceless.

“His eyes widened in amazement, and he started sniffing her immediately. He was thrilled, yet instinctively understood to be gentle and careful around her,” his mother noted.

That was just the beginning of a wonderful bond between the two.

Now, they are inseparable. Whenever Liliana cries, Nova hurries over to her, checking to see what’s wrong.

He has naturally taken on the roles of her big brother and loyal guardian, as well as being her lifelong companion.

“He’s incredibly protective of her, and she returns his affection. Liliana loves to pet him, and he seems to enjoy her gentle head scratches,” noted Kayla.

Nova’s kind nature is a significant reflection of his owners’ nurturing and training.

With the right guidance and love, large dogs, including Pitbulls like Nova, can make the most wonderful companions.

“I’m incredibly thankful to witness Nova and my dogs being such fantastic big brothers to Liliana. It brings me immense joy knowing she will grow up surrounded by so much love,” her mother expressed.

Nova has also embraced his role as a big brother to another baby boy, and their initial encounter was equally heartwarming.

He remained calm, his eyes reflecting warmth and affection – simply adorable.
