While a kind-hearted individual was boarding a train at a California metro station, they noticed a tarp on the stairs, underneath which was a mysterious, hairless creature sleeping. Upon closer inspection, they realized it was a dog with sore, wrinkly skin.
The pup seemed accustomed to being overlooked, as she did not move when the passerby approached. Determined to help her, the Good Samaritan knew exactly whom to call.
Save The Helpless Dog

The Good Samaritan reached out to Suzette Hall, a longtime rescuer and founder of Logan’s Legacy 29 in Irvine, California, asking for assistance with the pup.
Hall and her team of volunteers developed a strategy to rescue the dog, later named Sadie Rose. Arturo Flores, the closest volunteer to the metro station, hurried to her aid, arriving just before sunset. Despite his efforts, Sadie Rose fled to the drive-thru of a nearby fast-food restaurant, evading capture.
The next morning, Hall returned to the metro station only to find no sight of Sadie Rose. However, after some time, she finally spotted the exhausted dog dragging her paws.

The experienced rescuer placed multiple humane traps without alarming Sadie Rose, hoping the scent of tasty treats would draw her in. However, the anxious pup almost entered the trap several times, only to be scared away by passersby, which made Hall very concerned for her safety.
“Each time she would almost go into my trap, a person would show up and scare her away. And then she would run across the street, almost getting hit by a car,” Hall shared on Facebook.
After another round of fear, the dog disappeared again, prompting Hall to search the neighborhood, but to no avail. Hours later, she felt she could not leave Sadie Rose to endure another night on the streets, so she persisted in her efforts.
Sadie Rose Is Finally Safe

Seeking Sadie Rose’s second favorite hiding spot, Hall went to the fast-food restaurant and was relieved to spot the dog, although she appeared weak and wandered into someone’s yard. Determined not to let her escape again, Hall quickly parked her car, secured the yard with baby gates, and with the homeowner’s assistance, they cornered the dog until she finally entered the trap.
Once inside the crate, Sadie Rose felt a wave of relief, sensing her perilous life on the streets was over.

Hall promptly took Sadie Rose to the vet, where she was diagnosed with mange. After starting treatment, Sadie had to be kept away from other dogs, but her caregivers showered her with affection.

As Sadie Rose recovered, her loving personality began to shine, charming everyone around her. “She is absolutely beautiful and the most lovable girl I have ever met. She matters so much, and I won’t give up on her,” Hall remarked.
After a month of care, Sadie moved to a nurturing foster home where she continues to heal. Her foster mom, Karen de Grandmaison, shows her immense love, and once she fully recovers and her fur grows back, Sadie Rose will be ready for adoption. In the meantime, she enjoys her time with her foster mom, sunbathing and relaxing.
