Introducing Kona
Kona is an adorable pit bull mix who found her forever home with a caring family.
From the moment she arrived, she ensured that her home was a haven of love and laughter. She spent her days playing with her mom, Collyn, and anyone else she met.
For seven years, this cheerful attitude never wavered!
“Every day since she came has been brighter,” Collyn shared on Instagram.
Just a year after adopting her, Kona’s family thought she would thrive as a big sister, so they brought home another pup, Mako.
Upon meeting her little brother, Kona stepped into her new role as a caring sibling, always looking out for Mako whenever her parents needed help.
Impressed by how well Kona got along with Mako, her family chose to help even more by fostering several pups. While Mako was lost in play, Kona took it upon herself to ensure each temporary sibling was cared for.
Despite her increased responsibilities, Kona never missed out on moments with her mom!
The Big Day!
Kona truly shone during celebrations with her family. Be it dressing up for Halloween or participating in her parents’ wedding, this pup radiated excitement.
Due to her infectious joy, Kona’s family decided to throw her a special celebration.
As Kona turned seven, Collyn organized the sweetest surprise party imaginable.
The celebration featured a pink bandana, a sparkling tiara, and all her closest pals. Once night fell, Kona was treated to her very own birthday cake, as everyone sang a joyful birthday song!
“I finally gave in and got her a dog birthday cake for the first time. She really enjoyed it,” Collyn shared on Instagram.
Kona couldn’t contain her happiness!
She adored her family and friends, but witnessing how much they cherished her sent her joy to new heights!
“[She] tried her best to hold back her excitement and not devour the cake because I asked her to wait. Nothing thrilled her more than having a room filled with family who she loves, smiling and cheering for her,” Collyn recounted in an Instagram comment.
