Life is certainly a lot more entertaining with a pinch of humor… Justin Bogh from Astoria, Oregon found this out firsthand when his wife, Kayla, decided to pull a little prank on him.
With a clever plan in mind, Kayla set out to fool her husband, and surprisingly, it worked like a charm.
She convinced Justin that she had discovered a “cute little dog” outside their home and brought it inside.
The catch? The “adorable puppy” was actually a coyote!
“Cute Little Dog” Prank
It began with an innocent text from Kayla about a little dog she claimed to have found outside.
Kayla invited the puppy into their home and even shared a picture of the “puppy” snuggled on the couch with their toddler.
Upon receiving the texts, Justin started to panic because it was painfully clear that the “puppy” wasn’t a puppy at all.
As he frantically tried to reach Kayla to warn her that their new housemate was actually a coyote, she pretended to be oblivious to his concerns.
The poor guy was already frustrated as Kayla coolly insisted on keeping the wild animal around.
He was about to lose it, believing there was indeed a wild animal in his house mingling with their son.
Evidently, this wasn’t Kayla’s first escapade with unusual pets. Justin mentioned in a text that she once brought home four ferrets, much to his dislike. It’s no wonder he was quick to believe she had welcomed a wild animal this time around.
As the conversation unfolded, things became even more chaotic.
‘Spot,’ which was the name Kayla gave to the wild creature, began to show peculiar behavior and was pacing around the house.
Justin was just about ready to snap, but loving his “quirky” wife, he decided to hurry home to save them both.
While it was undoubtedly a source of entertainment for Kayla, she realized it was time to come clean. Justin was understandably anxious, thinking his wife and child might become the coyote’s next meal.
But before revealing the truth, she couldn’t resist sending one last photo of the coyote.
Ultimately, she revealed to Justin that it was all an elaborate Photoshop job. It was a classic prank paired with impressive editing skills.
Family Of Pranksters
This amusing prank perfectly illustrated the playful nature of the Oregon couple and their marital life.
Before anyone thinks the prank was cruel, Kayla mentioned in an interview that this sort of lightheartedness is fairly typical for them, and they share a strong bond.
“This has been our dynamic since the start. We’re both huge pranksters with a wide sense of humor. Our respect and love for each other knows no bounds, and we just have our own unique way of expressing that love.”
If only Justin had examined the pictures more closely, he might have caught the Photoshop clues sooner. But then again, we wouldn’t have this delightful prank to chuckle about.
“He’s calmed down and taken a second look at those edited images and feels a bit silly now. He’s laughing along with the rest of us,” Kayla shared with Scary Mommy.
