When Jackie welcomed Heaven into her home, she needed to exercise a lot of patience in the beginning. But, with time, she realized that her little pup was radiating happiness, sporting a smile that just wouldn’t fade.
A Fresh Start
When Heaven arrived at the shelter, she was extremely frightened, cowering and trembling at every human that walked by.
One day, Jackie visited the shelter, and the staff wrapped Heaven in a cozy blanket before handing her over. As soon as Heaven felt Jackie’s warm embrace, she began to wag her tail joyfully.
Seeing this, and noticing how Heaven nestled into her, Jackie knew she had found her furry companion. The rest is simply heartwarming!
Sadly, this lovely girl faced some health challenges, but with a little love and care, everything was manageable.
“One of the significant concerns was some areas on her skin where she had lost fur, likely due to stress. She also had a condition known as cherry eye, which can be easily treated at the vet,” Jackie shared with GeoBeats.
Heaven had difficulty trusting men, leading Jackie to suspect that she had experienced a traumatic incident involving a man previously. Fortunately, such fears diminished over time.
Spending quality time with her new owner not only enhanced Heaven’s health but also greatly improved her overall happiness.
A Joyful Pup
Heaven gradually began to emerge from her shell, realizing she was finally safe.
Six months later, Jackie noticed an astonishing change: Heaven was genuinely smiling! This lovely dog had a smile that stretched from ear to ear.
“Her smile is infectious. When people see her happy, they can’t help but smile back,” Jackie remarked.
In addition to her smiles, Heaven can also express her displeasure.
Whenever something doesn’t go her way, her joyous expression quickly fades, signaling to her human that she’s not pleased.
However, that frown disappears the moment she steps into the park!
“She adores going to the park and enjoys being in the baby swings, where she sits like a little kid eager to be pushed,” Jackie responded.
Transforming from a frightened and sad pup into one that grins ear to ear has made Jackie the proudest dog parent.
She provided Heaven with a life of joy, affection, and adventures, and Heaven reciprocated by ensuring Jackie smiled every single day.
“Whenever I’m feeling down, I just look at her, and her smile brightens my day,” Jackie reflected.
