Instead of being happy to reunite Lovey, a Great Dane Poodle puppy, with her sister, Wrenatha is horrified. The other puppy, which she adopts named Noodle, appears severely malnourished and in distress.
A Severely Emaciated Puppy Sister
Wrenatha came across an Ohio Facebook group dedicated to rehoming pets. She spotted a puppy named Lovey, who was just nine weeks old. The current owner was overwhelmed with both puppies and needed to find A new home for one. Given Wrenatha’s experience as a dog owner, she eagerly took Lovey home.
Everything seemed perfect as Lovey adapted well to her new environment and displayed the playful demeanor of a healthy puppy. Yet, realizing Lovey needed company, Wrenatha reached out again to adopt Lovey’s sister.
The woman offered Noodle, and Wrenatha was excited to keep the siblings together. However, when they met in a parking lot, the situation took a dark turn. The woman, concealing Noodle tightly, handed her over quickly and left.
What Wrenatha discovered shattered her heart. Noodle was in dire condition; she appeared emaciated, yet the previous owner claimed she had merely skipped a few meals due to pickiness.
Based on Noodle’s frail appearance, it was evident that she had missed more than just a few meals; she could barely stand! Wrenatha rushed her to the vet, where Noodle was diagnosed with worms, though her previous owner claimed she had been dewormed. The puppy’s plight worsened: she had infected paws and struggled to walk straight due to her legs being bent from prolonged confinement in a crate, revealing clear signs of neglect.
Noodle And Lovey, Furever Together
Fortunately, good news comes from Wrenatha’s home. After just three days, Noodle began to recuperate; her legs straightened, she gained weight gradually, and her former cheerfulness returned. Both sisters were incredibly fortunate to be adopted by Wrenatha, an animal lover who provides them with endless love and care. You can see their happiness reflected in their radiant appearance.
Months later, Wrenatha updated everyone on the sisters; life has transformed dramatically for them as they now revel in every moment. Noodle gained an impressive 15 pounds after being so emaciated.
