Sadly, countless dogs suffer on the harsh streets today, with many people turning a blind eye to their plight. However, if they understood that a single small act of kindness could transform the lives of these helpless animals, they might take action. Fortunately, there are still those who care. One Good Samaritan in Primm, Nevada, exemplifies this. When he encountered a severely matted stray dog on the street, he didn’t walk away like so many others; instead, he immediately sought help, changing the dog’s life forever.
He Blossomed Like A Flower
When the rescuers received a call about the matted dog in need, they rushed to the scene. With no collar, microchip, or ID, he was transferred to The Animal Foundation, a rescue organization in Las Vegas, Nevada. Here, the shelter staff instantly fell in love with him and decided to name him Primm, in honor of the town where he was found. Time was of the essence, so they quickly brought him to the lead groomer, Krystal Elizondo. Upon seeing him, she recognized the challenging task that lay ahead. However, as the grooming session progressed, Primm began to relax and come out of his shell.
Krystal remarked, “He was absolutely perfect during his groom. Primm was scared and unsure at first, but he let it happen and slowly started to open up, wag his tail and give me kisses.” When the grooming session concluded, Primm had transformed completely, blossoming into a beautiful dog with a brighter future ahead.
New, Happier Life
The reborn Primm remained in the shelter for some time, progressing significantly in every aspect, particularly in regaining the trust he had lost. “When he arrived, he would curl up in the back of his kennel,” stated Max Blaustein, The Animal Foundation’s marketing and communications coordinator. “When he was leaving for foster, he was relaxing at the front of his kennel, waiting to be taken out for a walk.” His time in the new foster home has been amazing, and he is now living the best life he truly deserves. Thus, from a horribly matted stray dog with no future, Primm has transformed into the happiest pup in the world, all thanks to the kind souls who performed one small act of kindness.
