Missing Kansas Dog Returns Home with an Unexpected Companion

Date:

When the Krier family discovered their beloved Black Labrador, Bo, was missing, panic set in, and they began searching frantically. Bo loved adventures and often sneaked out for excursions on his own, always finding his way back home. However, this time was different; he had vanished from the yard after his mom took him out for a bathroom break.

Worried about their sweet boy, the Krier family couldn’t stop searching. Laura Krier shared Bo’s photo on social media, requesting anyone who spotted him to contact them. The next day brought ecstatic news to Kyle Krier, Bo’s dad, as they learned a dog resembling Bo had been seen running in the cornfields six miles from home.

Krier quickly drove to the location. Upon spotting Bo, he called out, and Bo joyfully ran towards him. Overjoyed that his beloved dog was safe, Krier soon noticed that Bo was not alone; he had two new friends racing alongside him, initially indistinguishable as mere specks in the distance.

Bo Introduces His Friends To His Dad

As the trio approached, Krier was astonished to discover that Bo had made friends with a dog and a goat. In his kindness, Bo offered them a ride in his dad’s red truck, not wanting to leave his new pals behind. Krier invited them all to hop into the car, and after securing the seatbelts, he drove them back to the city.

It turned out that Bo’s new friends, Libby and Ozzy, belonged to the Krier’s neighbors. This led Krier to piece together that after his adventurous escape, Bo had visited his friends’ home. While it’s uncertain who originated the idea for this fun escapade, their owners suspected that the three must have plotted this adventure together. “It’s tough to determine if Bo the black Lab or Libby and Ozzy initiated the adventure, but they certainly made their getaway,” said Shawna Huggans to The Dodo.

Bo was thrilled to have friends who shared his love for exploration.

Bo continued to make new goat friends, relishing his dream life in Kansas while frequently escaping home for new adventures. Tragically, in July 2022, Laura shared on her Facebook that their perfect sweet Bo had crossed the rainbow bridge. His family will forever cherish his memory.

“He was perfect from the day we chose him as a puppy. The joy he brought with his silly antics, love for walks, and passion for hot dogs will remain with us forever,” she expressed.

Bo lived a wonderful life surrounded by a family that adored him and made countless people smile. His memory will always be cherished.
