Missing Kansas Dog Returns Home with a New Companion

Date:

When the Krier family discovered their beloved Black Labrador, Bo, was missing, panic set in. They began searching desperately, knowing how much he loved to sneak out and embark on adventures. Normally, Bo would always return home, but this time was different. On the night he disappeared, after taking him outside, he didn’t come back.

Worry consumed the family as they tirelessly searched for their sweet pup. His mom, Laura Krier, shared his photo on social media, pleading for anyone who spotted him to reach out. The next day, their hearts soared when Kyle Krier, Bo’s dad, learned a dog resembling Bo had been seen six miles away, running through the cornfields.

Krier rushed to the cornfield and called out to Bo as soon as he spotted him. Bo came running back, bringing immense joy to his dad. However, when Krier took a closer look, he noticed Bo was not alone; he had two companions—a dog and a goat.

Bo’s Introduces His Friends To His Dad

As the trio approached, Krier was astonished to see that Bo’s new friends were indeed a dog and a goat. In true friendship style, Bo insisted they all ride back in his dad’s red truck. Krier took the three back to the city, where he soon discovered that Bo’s companions, Libby and Ozzy, belonged to his neighbors. It became clear that after sneaking out, Bo had made a visit to his friends’ home. While it’s unclear who initiated this little adventure, one thing is for sure: these three were partners in crime.

“It’s difficult to say if Bo the black Lab or Libby and Ozzy were the masterminds behind this escapade. Regardless, they went on this adventure together,” Shawna Huggans told The Dodo. Bo was undoubtedly thrilled to have friends who shared his adventurous spirit.

Bo’s Perfect Life

Bo went on to make numerous new goat friends and continued to live a joyful life in Kansas, often sneaking out for new adventures. However, in July 2022, Laura sadly announced on her Facebook that their cherished Bo had crossed the rainbow bridge. His memory will always live on in their hearts.

“He was perfect from the day we chose him as a puppy. The joy he brought us, his playful nature and enthusiasm for life, remains with us every day. His love for venturing out with dad and indulging in walks – even when I struggled to keep up – and his undying love for hot dogs will never be forgotten,” she reflected.

Bo’s life was filled with love from his family, which he cherished deeply. He brought smiles to countless faces and will always be remembered fondly.
