They located the abuser, who was reportedly struck the dog with a cylindrical object. The perpetrator was arrested and charged, and he even resisted arrest, leading to additional charges. Upon checking on the pup lying in the van, the deputies were met with a shocking sight.
This poor pup suffered from broken bones in her legs and was unable to move. The deputies attempted to assist her, but she cried in pain. They quickly contacted animal control, who provided prompt assistance. The pup was transported to a clinic for treatment. After some time, it was confirmed that the pup, named Maeby, underwent extensive surgery and is now recovering in a foster home. Although her condition has improved, she still requires assistance, prompting animal control to reach out to the community for support. We hope she receives everything she needs to recover fully.
