Such was the case when Daylue Goah captured a baffling moment in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, where a curious dog found itself stranded on the roof of its house.
Onlookers sprang into action, calling for assistance, but the rescue turned out to be more challenging than expected!
How Did He End Up There
The exact circumstances leading to this furry friend’s rooftop predicament are unclear. Daylue Goah, in his interview with WJAR, speculated that the dog managed to escape through a window on the top floor.
Interestingly, at the time of this escapade, the dog’s humans were absent, likely fueling its adventurous spirit.
The real challenge arose when he realized that once he was out, he had no idea how to return!
He moved cautiously across the roof, searching for an escape route, but could not find one. He wandered back and forth along the edge, perilously close to a potential fall.

Here Comes The Hooman
Goah mentioned that he noticed the animal control van arrive, leading him to believe help had finally come. However, the vehicle abruptly drove away, prolonging the dog’s ordeal.
Just when it looked like the dog might be trapped for hours, a touching act of kindness emerged!
An unnamed hero observed the distressed dog and courageously scaled the roof in an effort to assist him.
With one hand grabbing the window and the other extending to reach for the dog, the man patiently awaited the canine’s response. Moments later, the dog began to wag its tail!
He seemed delighted to finally receive some help.
Regrettably, he still hesitated to approach his rescuer and stayed just out of reach.
At one point, the man even attempted to bring out snacks from the house to entice the dog, but to no avail.
Time for action came when the man decided to take more decisive steps!
He carefully climbed up to where the dog was and sat beside him, giving the furry companion gentle pats on the head.

Instead of following along, he wriggled away once more and realized a rather precarious “tour” down a steep slope. Fortunately, the sunroof was close by, and the man carefully followed the dog.
In a flash, he successfully caught him, concluding this brave rescue mission.
Fortunately, the dog’s owner arrived home just then, promptly opening the sunroof to bring the dog back inside.
Relief washed over everyone as the pup was finally safe. The owner, in particular, expressed immense gratitude for the unknown good Samaritan’s assistance!
