One day, he found himself outside Dollar General in Houston, Texas, hoping to encounter a compassionate human who could rescue him from his lonely and unpredictable existence.
Robbie Hopes To Be Noticed
Robbie found a sheltered spot under a plastic chair, observing the customers entering and exiting the store. His gentle brown eyes sparkled with hope, wishing someone would notice him and help him find the love he craved.
Three weeks went by, and this sweet dog continued to wait for recognition.
Fortunately, Kristin Erwin, a devoted dog rescuer, spotted the charming dog as she passed by. He was seen running around the parking lot.
She quickly parked her car to assess whether the adorable pup needed assistance. Inside the store, she inquired with the store clerk about Robbie.
Though the clerk mentioned that someone was set to pick up the dog, Erwin felt doubtful. She left her contact information and requested the clerk to let her know if the woman didn’t show up for Robbie.
Erwin Takes The Adorable Pup Home
Erwin was not surprised when she received a text from the clerk stating that nobody had shown up and that Robbie was still waiting.
“It was getting dark, so I rushed over to Dollar General without delay,” Erwin recounted.
Initially, Robbie was timid and hesitant to approach Erwin. She brought him some treats, which he couldn’t resist. While he munched on a snack, the clerk managed to catch him. The clerk assisted Erwin in getting Robbie into her car, and she took him home.
Robbie was thrilled to finally be safe.
In the beginning, the dog wasn’t overly playful. Erwin suspected he was frightened and needed time to adjust. After spending some time together, she discovered that he enjoyed relaxing and was a true cuddlebug.
“He was completely at ease, eating and resting,” Erwin noted.
Robbie Is Happy To Move In With His Forever Family
Lola’s Lucky Day, an animal rescue organization, came to Robbie’s aid and helped find him a loving foster home. The pup thrived on the warmth and affection provided by his foster family.
Soon, Robbie’s human companions discovered a fantastic forever family for him. The delightful dog was eager to embark on a new chapter of his life—the one he had always envisioned.
He was ecstatic when he moved to his new home in Austin, Texas. His new family fell in love with him instantly.
Robbie and his family frequently share updates on his Instagram account. He is now living the dream life he always wished for. He renamed himself Guinness and loves playing with toys and cuddling with his adoring family.
