Despite a significant snowstorm sweeping through Kansas, animal rescuers had no time to rest; their commitment to helping those in need remained steadfast. Recently, KC Pet Project rescuer Angelina received an urgent call about a dog trapped in the freezing weather.
Heartbreaking Sight

The kind-hearted Angelina hurried into her vehicle despite the heavy snowstorm. The distress call came from an elderly man who had been awakened by barking; upon looking outside, he was horrified by what he saw—an innocent dog left behind on a sidewalk.
Rushing to the location, Angelina was taken aback when she arrived to find a dog crammed into a small crate on the freezing sidewalk. The weather was unbearable, and it was heartbreaking to see the pup in such dire conditions. However, the moment the dog noticed Angelina, she began wagging her tail, seemingly relieved that help had arrived. Though shivering, the pup sensed that rescue was near, leaving Angelina stunned at the callousness of the situation.
Good News For The Dog

How could anyone abandon such a sweet dog in freezing temperatures? Once the pup was safely in her vehicle, Angelina notified the elderly caller that the dog was now being taken care of. Overjoyed, the elderly man expressed his gratitude, relieved to hear that the puppy was safe. Fortunately, rescuers discovered that the pup had no injuries or frostbite, enabling her to recover quickly. Soon after her rescue, the dog began to flourish, playing joyfully with everyone at the shelter, as if she had never experienced abandonment.

The kind-hearted people who rescued her were confident she would find a loving home soon, given her sweet nature. She was placed on an adoption list and received numerous applications. It comes as no surprise that this adorable little pup is now living her best life with a loving owner who treats her right.
