In a world filled with possibilities, choose kindness – just like Maisy!

The internet has been enchanted by the lovable Dark Red Golden Retriever who displays her nurturing nature towards her deaf sibling, Levi. And it’s truly heartwarming!

As the younger sibling, Maisy behaves exceptionally well around Levi.

Even though she hasn’t had formal training, she instinctively understands the right actions and behaviors when Levi is around. Recently, a video of her lovingly waking her brother surprised everyone, including their owners!

Maisy Is The Sister He Truly Needed

Sierra and Joshua, the military couple from Florida currently residing in North Carolina, instantly fell for Levi. They welcomed his disability with love and offered this Australian Shepherd the home he had longed for.

In return, Levi brought immense joy!

With his energetic spirit and playful attitude, the couple thought he could use a companion. That’s when Maisy entered the picture!

At just seven months old, Levi embraced his role as an older brother, looking after his new Golden Retriever companion. However, as the days went by, their roles started to evolve!

Maisy flourished into an incredible, perceptive dog that perfectly understood Levi’s condition. It seemed as though she instinctively knew how to interact with Levi to avoid startling him.

The real surprise came one day after a walk when Maisy and her owners returned home. Upon stepping inside, they witnessed her approach Levi, who was peacefully asleep.

Instead of barking or jumping on him, as one might expect during playtime, she gingerly inched closer and offered him a gentle nudge with her paw.

Sierra and Josh were completely amazed, as they had never witnessed Maisy behave this way before. “Was it just a random nudge, or did she truly know this was the perfect way to wake Levi up?” were some of the thoughts that crossed their minds.

However, it didn’t take long for Maisy to make this heartwarming gesture a regular occurrence, repeating it time after time. Nowadays, she does it consistently, endearing herself to the thousands who follow their adventures on TikTok and Instagram.

“Maisy waking up her deaf brother Levi to let him know we’re home is always heartwarming,” Sierra and Josh noted in their video.

“I hope she continues doing this for him indefinitely,” they expressed.

The Perfect Duo

Bringing Maisy into their home was the best choice this couple from Florida could have made. Not only has Maisy become a loving sister to Levi, but the two are nearly inseparable.

“Getting our 7-month-old Deaf Aussie a companion was the best decision we could have made. They are inseparable for life,” they shared.

Before Maisy, Levi’s favorite pastime was gazing out the window, “guarding” his home.

“My deaf dog’s favorite activity is sitting by the window, keeping an eye on our home. Even though he can’t hear, it seems like his special way of watching over us, and those moments are filled with so much affection,” Levi’s owners shared in an Instagram post.

Now that Maisy is part of their family, the two pups do everything together.

They engage in playful activities, embark on exciting walks, race around the house, and even enjoy cozy naps side by side. It’s as if they’ve been together their entire lives, as they almost never stray from one another.

Let’s hope they continue this beautiful bond for many years to come!
