Mia’s New Chance
Mia faced many challenges. After her heart-wrenching surrender, she suffered a severe leg injury that continued to deteriorate. While her previous owners attempted a basic remedy for her fractured leg, it became clear that she required surgery, which they could not afford.
The compassionate staff at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Animal Control in North Carolina stepped in to help. Unfortunately, they lacked the resources for her critical needs, prompting them to contact Danny & Ron’s Rescue in South Carolina. They agreed to take Mia in and assess her condition.
Mia’s condition was serious, necessitating immediate surgery. Thankfully, the operation was successful. Although she faced a significant life change, her lively spirit remained intact. Just three weeks after the surgery, she was healing rapidly and began walking again.

After the surgery, the rescuers quickly realized that Mia was a joyful and energetic dog who thrived around people. Recognizing her remarkable recovery, they began to prepare her for adoption. Danny and Ron felt she would be a wonderful companion for someone, as she was already a well-behaved dog with plenty of spirit.
Mia remains in the loving care of Danny and Ron as they aim to provide her with the best life until she finds her forever home. It’s the dedication of her rescuers and countless others that give Mia a chance to thrive, and with all she’s been through, she truly deserves a bright future filled with love.
