A Vehicle Packed with Dogs
When Kimberly Perkins, a rescuer from Atlanta, returned home one day, she brought along one of the cutest surprises imaginable.
The trunk of her car was stuffed with six charming Great Dane puppies eager to leap out and discover their new surroundings.
Meanwhile, her husband was a bit uncertain about how to respond. Initially, he gazed at the puppies in disbelief. However, their undeniable cuteness soon had him grinning!
Perkins shared the most humorous text over the video to illustrate how their relationship functions.
“My husband doesn’t have to fear me leaving or being unfaithful. But he does need to be concerned about me coming home from work with a bunch of six rescued Great Dane puppies for fostering,” read the TikTok caption.
Perkins and her spouse pride themselves on being foster parents for Save Rocky the Great Dane Rescue and Rehab, a non-profit organization that rescues Great Danes nationwide. When asked to temporarily foster a litter of puppies surrendered by their owners, she quickly agreed.
However, she planned to keep the whole situation under wraps from her husband. So, when she got home, she called for her husband to help her lift ‘a few heavy items’ from the car. And the rest is history!

The couple cared for the puppies for an entire week, and while it was a tad demanding, they managed just fine!
“At just three months old, the puppies averaged 44 pounds each. It was a tough week but filled with love and joy!” Perkins stated to Newsweek.
Eventually, four puppies found other foster homes, while two stayed with the couple. One of the remaining two, named Lola, bonded particularly well with them, leading to her adoption!
Given that Great Danes are known for having big dog personalities and even bigger hearts, this outcome was hardly surprising.
When it comes to these lovable giants, one of the first things people notice is their size. Standing up to 32 inches at the shoulder, it’s easy to mistake them for small horses. However, despite their considerable size, they tend to be the gentlest companions.
