This story revolves around Ebony Anne, a 10-year-old dog who spent six long years at Lytle Animal Care And Control in Boerne, Texas.
Throughout those years, Ebony remained hopeful that a loving family would come to adopt her, fulfilling her dream of finding a home.
She yearned for love and the simple pleasures of life that she had longed for.
Years Spent in the Shelter
From the moment she arrived at the shelter, Ebony Anne enchanted the staff with her sweetness.
Concerned that she might be euthanized, the shelter staff often hid her whenever they experienced overcrowding.
As the years went by, Ebony continued to reside in her kennel, appreciating the affection of her caretakers, but still longing for the everlasting love that could only come from a family.
The staff could not comprehend why no one had chosen to adopt Ebony Anne.
After spending six years in the shelter, her name appeared at the top of the euthanasia list.
Her friends at the shelter reached out to rescue organizations to save the lovable dog and grant her the opportunity for a happy ending.
The Rescue Comes to the Aid of Ebony Anne
Upon hearing the plea for help, the CCPAL – Cowboy Capital Pet Assistance League, a rescue organization in Texas, agreed to take Ebony Anne in.
The sweet canine said farewell to the devoted shelter staff who had cared for her all those years.
When the CCPAL team arrived to pick up Ebony Anne, the pup felt a surge of hope for a brighter future ahead.
Her charm quickly enchanted her rescuers, and she eagerly jumped into their car, a joyful grin on her face. The affectionate pup displayed an abundance of love for her new companions, revealing that she was ready to share her heart.
The CCPAL team was astounded that such a lovable pup like Ebony Anne had not yet found a home, and they were hopeful that her forever family would appear soon.
They praised her kindness, noting that despite being a senior, she remained youthful at heart. Ebony Anne loves to explore and cherish the little pleasures in life.
“Ebony Ann enjoys car rides, is house-trained, walks well on a leash, and loves all people. She’s fine with non-aggressive male dogs but would prefer to be the only dog. She would be a perfect match for an older couple looking for a walking companion or someone who would take her on car rides. She could even be a great companion for truck drivers,” stated the rescue on Facebook.
Ebony Anne Hopes for Her Happy Ending
All that Ebony Anne aspires to is to experience what it’s like to have a loving home. This sweet girl wishes to find her humans and shower them with affection.
Currently residing in Texas, Ebony is available for local adoption. The wonderful friends at her rescue can arrange transport, making it possible for her to be adopted to places like Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont, or anywhere along the East Coast.
