For several months, three adorable puppies called the yard of an auto repair shop their home. Although the workers were kind to them, the pups yearned for a real family.
They were fortunate enough never to go hungry, but the yard could never replace the love and warmth of a true home.
Feeling heartbroken and yearning for a family, Cora, one of the sisters, would sit by the yard’s gate, hoping that a passerby would come along and rescue her and her sisters.
Rescue and Recovery

Upon hearing about the three furry sisters living in the shop’s yard, the local rescue organization, Howl Of A Dog, immediately took action to save them.
When they reached the site, the rescuers were met with three forlorn faces eagerly wagging their tails and craving much-needed affection.
They quickly observed that one of the dogs — later known as Cora — was limping on her front leg. The rescuers thanked the employees for caring for the dogs and hurriedly transported them to the veterinary clinic.

“Fortunately, there was no fracture, and her injury healed after a few days of medication,” shared the rescue in the YouTube video they posted.
However, their vet visit revealed a more severe problem – all three puppies were unvaccinated and had contracted parvovirus. If untreated, this virus can be deadly for dogs.

Cora and her two sisters – Kami and Carly – had to be admitted to the hospital for medical attention. Fortunately, the virus was caught early, but it can still be very aggressive and escalate quickly.
Among the three sisters, Kami required a longer recovery, but thankfully, all of them eventually made a full recovery.
Waiting for Forever Homes

Once the sisters were completely healed and received their vaccinations, their distinct personalities began to emerge.
At around six months old, they were still quite small but extremely playful and loving with everyone.
While the rescuers loved them and recognized how perfectly suited they would be for any family, finding forever homes for the sisters turned out to be quite challenging.

Cora, Carly, and Kami spent over a year at the rescue searching for a loving home.
Ultimately, Carly’s fortune changed, and after a year in the shelter, she was finally adopted into a wonderful family.
Now, she is living the life she always dreamed of.
What truly saddens me is that her sisters, Cora and Kami, are still waiting for their homes. They have been at the shelter for nearly two years, anticipating the happiest day of their lives.
As noted by the shelter, Cora “has a very pleasant temperament, gets along great with all dogs, and is very good with people and children. She genuinely would be a perfect fit for any loving family,” while Kami “is affectionate and friendly, gets along well with all dogs, but is a bit shyer than her sisters.”

Both dogs absolutely deserve a stable place they can call home, especially after all they’ve been through.
