Soaking up their mom’s love was all that three newborn puppies ever wanted. Unfortunately, cold-hearted individuals snatched them from her arms, showing no compassion. These innocent furbabies were placed in a box and abandoned in a dumpster in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. At merely ten days old, they couldn’t comprehend the gravity of the situation, and their little bodies trembled with hunger and cold, teetering on the brink of demise. Holding tightly to one another, they waited for their mother, hopeful that she would rescue them before it was too late.
A Hero Saves The Little Pups

A kind-hearted passerby heard unusual sounds emerging from the dumpster and rushed to check. Upon opening it, they discovered a box containing three desperate newborn puppies. In disbelief, the Good Samaritan reached out to Almost Home Canine Rescue, alerting them about this heartbreaking situation. The rescue team immediately felt compassion and arrived at the scene, swiftly collecting the crying puppies and bringing them to safety.

Katie Day, the founder of the rescue, was horrified to learn that the puppies had been left to suffer in freezing temperatures.
“It’s too cold for a human being to be staying outside right now, these puppies had no chance,” Day told a local TV station KELO.
She stressed that it was senseless to abandon the puppies, considering the numerous organizations available to assist them, and expressed hopes that those responsible would be identified and charged with animal cruelty.
Nursing The Puppies To Health

Thanks to the Good Samaritan and the South Dakota rescue team, the three newborn puppies are now safe. The rescue staff welcomed the furbabies—named Bo, Birdie, and Brody—with warm embraces, determined to do everything possible to ensure their survival. The puppies arrived dehydrated and in dire need of constant care, but their caregivers kept them warm and bottle-fed them until they were stable and calm.

A loving foster family was found for them, dedicated to nursing them back to health. Despite their traumatic experience, these spirited pups proved their resilience. They opened their eyes to the warm affection provided by their fosters, sensing they were safe. Even without their mother, the puppies were comforted knowing they had each other. I am confident that these lovely pups will continue to thrive and eventually find their perfect forever homes once they reach an appropriate age for adoption.
