Jordan’s Distressing Background
Jordan was rescued from a neglectful owner by Releash Atlanta, a group dedicated to saving as many dogs as possible from Georgia’s puppy mills.
His foster mom, Melissa, welcomed him into her home and committed to helping him heal from his past trauma. Initially, this was a challenging journey.
Being unfamiliar with the outside world, Jordan didn’t know how to navigate even basic things like stairs, couches, or grass, having spent his life in a cage.
There was so much for him to learn, and Melissa was determined to assist him as he adjusted at his own speed.
Despite his significant progress, Melissa felt it was the right moment to find him a permanent home.
Jordan’s New Family
Melissa told The Dodo: “Jordan is going to find his forever home today. Ann and Kinney are the perfect adopters for Jordan.”
Their daughter learned about Jordan’s plight and expressed to her parents the need to help him. Thus, they decided to adopt him.
The couple visited Melissa’s home in Atlanta and finally met Jordan. Initially a bit skittish, he quickly warmed up to his new parents and his canine sibling, Bella.
Once they brought him to his new home, his demeanor transformed dramatically.
His mom, Ann, shared: “Jordan was so thrilled; he dashed around exploring each room, taking in every scent, eagerly discovering his new living space.”
After a month in his new home, Jordan was a transformed pup. He exhibited a newfound exuberance and was no longer fearful of people.
His growth since adoption has been remarkable, and he thoroughly enjoys being part of his new family.
