Florida Dog Sisters Who’ve Spent Their Lives Together Receive an Incredible Surprise

Date:

When Layla and Lola made their way into their nearby shelter, they pledged to support one another until they discovered a kind family ready to welcome them.

It didn’t take long for someone to adopt them; however, their time in their new environment was fleeting.

The charming sisters found themselves taken from the shelter two more times, yet whenever they returned, they felt that they only had each other in this vast world.

This reality changed when Humans and Animals United (HAAU) found out about their situation.

Help Is On The Way

Rosa Fond, the founder of this Florida-based non-profit animal rescue, sprang into action, doing everything in her power to ensure these sweet pups were taken under her care.

By gathering emergency funds to rescue the puppies from the shelter and diligently searching for a loving foster family willing to accommodate both, Fond not only succeeded in rescuing them but also transformed their lives forever.

When the HAAU volunteers arrived to rescue Layla and Lola, their excitement was palpable. The joy only grew when they saw the pups’ reactions upon realizing what was happening!

“Watching them leave the shelter that had kept them safe until our arrival brings us to tears. The girls are embarking on a new chapter, and this time, it’s a happily ever after!” HAAU shared on Facebook.

Fortunately for us, they documented the entire event, sharing the love on their social platforms:

@humansandanimalsunited ❤️🐾🎉 LAYLA AND LOLA HAVE BEEN RESCUED BY HUMANS AND ANIMALS UNITED!!!! Please honor pledges via PayPal at [email protected] or via Venmo at humansandanimals-unitedinc or via Zelle at 8137631199 The girls have a new beginning and this time it will be a forever happily ever after! Seeing them leave the shelter who kept them safe until we arrived brings tears to our eyes. It was a celebration which we would like to share with all of you! Thank you for helping us save these girls! It wasn’t an easy task as we had to work through a holiday weekend but we did it!!!!! Layla and Lola are now at the vet. They have found a foster home where they will be transported to once cleared medically. We are looking forward to seeing these girls decompress, play and have their 1st night sleep. We cannot thank everyone enough for yet again being part of saving these lives who need us the most! 🥺 Their Story…. 🚨‼️ RESCUE ONLY!!!!! Being Euthanized is not rescued. Shelter has been blasting for help for a while without anyone stepping up. Layla and Lola are on their 3rd trip to Rockdale AC in Conyers GA. The owner has reclaimed them reluctantly 2 times and each time they come back in worse shape than before. We believe he is only reclaiming to avoid citations 😳😡 Lola is 62 pounds and Layla is 65 pounds and both are heartworm negative and about 2 years old. NEED TO BE FULLY VETTED, SKIN ISSUES, ABCESS ON NECK ON ONE OF THEM, EAR INFECTION ON ANOTHER. They seem to be lab hound mixes and are sweet with people and good with other dogs. PLEASE CAN SOMEONE RESCUE THESE GIRLS TO SAVE THEM??? We do not believe the owner will reclaim this time. Rockdale County Ga #AC1291 #AC1804 ❤️🐾 Thank you all for your continued support in our rescue mission 🐾❤️ #HumansandAnimalUnited #georgia #animalrescue #rosafond #humansandanimalsunited #coralsprings #savinglives #rescuedogsoftiktok #HAAU #rockdalecounty #fosterssavelives #florida ♬ som original – Casais Perfeitos

The volunteers transported Layla and Lola to a nearby veterinary clinic, where the excited sisters underwent a comprehensive examination. Once the vet confirmed they were in excellent health, they were taken to the Florida rescue center to meet their new friends.

Foster Home

Recognizing that keeping the sisters together was essential for their well-being, a foster home capable of providing abundant love was crucial.

“They are a bonded pair. We would never separate them. They rely on each other, and this is the best way to honor these girls,” HAAU stated in a Facebook comment.

Thanks to their undeniable charm, a caring family stepped forward to take them in. As soon as they arrived, Layla and Lola fell head over heels for their new humans!

“True to our promise, these girls have remained together. Fully vetted, they are adapting beautifully in their foster home,” HAAU updated on Facebook.

I have no doubt that when the moment arrives, these lovely girls will find their forever home, where they can finally enjoy the life of happy, active pups.

For now, they are certainly thriving in their foster home, cared for by loving humans who ensure they have everything they could ever want and more.

“They are definitely fortunate girls,” HAAU expressed in a Facebook comment.
