Florida Dog Sisters Abandoned Multiple Times Together, But Their Fortune Took a Turn for the Better

Date:

When Layla and Lola arrived at their local shelter, they vowed to support each other until a loving family would welcome them. Fortunately, they were adopted twice, but each time they returned to the shelter, their bond grew stronger.

Everything changed when Humans and Animals United (HAAU) learned about their plight. Rosa Fond, founder of this Florida-based rescue, immediately took action to bring the sisters into her care, fundraising to facilitate their release from the shelter and searching extensively for a willing foster home.

Thanks to Fond’s dedication, Layla and Lola were pulled from the shelter and had their lives transformed forever. HAAU volunteers were thrilled to see the pups’ reaction as they learned they were being rescued.

“Seeing them leave the shelter that kept them safe brings tears to our eyes. The girls have a new beginning, and this time, it will be a forever happily ever after!” HAAU excitedly shared on Facebook.

The poignant moment was captured and shared on social media, showcasing the love surrounding their rescue:

@humansandanimalsunited ❤️🐾🎉 LAYLA AND LOLA HAVE BEEN RESCUED BY HUMANS AND ANIMALS UNITED!!!! Please honor pledges via PayPal at [email protected] or via Venmo at humansandanimals-unitedinc or via Zelle at 8137631199. The girls have a new beginning and this time it will be a forever happily ever after! The moment they left their shelter was a celebration we wish to share with all of you! Thank you for helping us save these girls. It wasn’t easy, but we did it! Layla and Lola are now at the vet and have found a foster home where they will be transported once cleared medically.

The volunteers drove the sisters to a local veterinary hospital for thorough check-ups. Once the vet confirmed they were healthy, they immediately took them to the Florida rescue to meet the other animals.

Foster Home

It was crucial to keep the sisters together, ensuring they received double the love and support. HAAU emphasized: “They are bonded. We would never separate them. They depend on each other, and that’s the right thing to do.”

A loving family stepped forward to foster them, and as soon as Layla and Lola arrived, they were instantly adored!

“As promised, these girls have been kept together. Fully vetted, they are settling in perfectly at their foster home,” HAAU shared on Facebook.

I’m confident that soon enough, these sweet girls will find a loving forever home, where they can finally lead a happy and active life. For now, they are enjoying their time in foster care, surrounded by caring humans who ensure they have everything they need.

“They are definitely lucky girls,” HAAU commented on Facebook.
