Abandoning dogs is unfortunately not a new phenomenon. Despite the undeniable bond that pets share with their humans, there remain heartless individuals ready to forsake their furry companions. Rescuers from Hope For Paws, a dedicated organization in Los Angeles, California, witnessed this firsthand when they received a call about an abandoned dog at a construction site.
Upon arrival, Katie and Alex were disheartened to find that the poor Husky they later named Mallory was pregnant. This revelation fueled their determination to support this canine mother and her future pups. Immediately, they attempted to put a leash around her neck, but the frightened Mallory resisted, having lost trust in people. However, she eventually led them to her den, the place she had chosen to bring her puppies into the world. Once in her safe space, she calmed down enough for them to finally secure the leash and prepare to take her to safety.
Ready For The Little Ones
Upon bringing Mallory back to their facility in Los Angeles, she was received with love and compassion from the entire rescue team. Recognizing the urgency, they quickly took her to the vet for an examination, which revealed the exciting news: Mallory was expecting seven puppies. Elated by the confirmation, the team prepared for her imminent delivery by ensuring she was in optimal condition.
After giving her a thorough bath and showering her with affection, positivity filled the air as they waited for the puppies’ arrival. Many generous donors had contributed to ensure that Mallory was well taken care of. On the day the ultrasound indicated she would give birth soon, Katie took Mallory home and made her a cozy bed. The following day, Mallory welcomed seven beautiful and healthy puppies into the world.
Three girls and four boys brought immense joy to their mother. Mallory was elated that all her puppies were alive and healthy, showering them with love and protection as she nursed them through their early days. Alex also played a pivotal role in helping Mallory raise her pups, creating a nurturing environment filled with warmth.
Happy Times
After three weeks, the puppies grew into charming little ones. They flourished under the care of Hollywood Huskies, the rescue organization that fostered them until they found a permanent home. The names Missy, May, Michelle, Marvin, Miles, McCoy, and Mahomes were given to these adorable pups.
Fortunately, a happy ending followed. According to a Hope For Paws Facebook post, “Mallory and her puppies were all adopted.”
This beautiful tale came to a perfect conclusion despite its rocky start. Mallory and her pups spent their formative days in joy and love, ultimately finding their forever homes. None of this could have been possible without the generosity and compassion of many caring individuals who stepped in to help.
