Paul Guilbeault, an Arizona resident, never truly got over losing Damian. Eight years ago, while moving from Massachusetts to Arizona, they took a brief stop that turned into a nightmare when Damian spooked and ran off, never to return. Despite extensive searching and posting flyers, they lost hope.
“8 long years ago while moving back to Arizona from Massachusetts I lost my dog I had at the time. We were devastated and extended the trip to look for him, but we had no luck,” Paul shared in an Instagram post.
In 2025, while driving to California to assist wildfire victims by donating clothes, Paul received a shocking message: Damian had been found! Memories of the past eight years flooded his mind—could his beloved companion really be alive after all this time?
After reaching out to those who found Damian, Paul learned that this little pup had been discovered in Oklahoma, just thirty miles from where he went missing. Donna Bentley, the driver, took him to her brother, and eventually, the vet scanned his microchip. It was a miracle!
