One senior dog in Los Angeles, California, experienced this firsthand when potential adopters overlooked him, thinking he was “damaged goods.” His heartbreaking situation resonated with many and left them in tears.
His Sad Fate
As highlighted in a Facebook post by Philozoia, an animal welfare organization, a senior dog named Eeyore was rescued from a euthanasia shelter. The staff praised his qualities and personality.
“He is crate and house trained, kid-friendly, and would make a great family dog. Eeyore loves attention and naps, and he also has a playful side. He loves toys and takes his stuffed animal with him everywhere,” they wrote.
Despite their hopes for a quick adoption, Eeyore remained without a foster for an extended period and struggled to find a permanent home.
Then, a young woman named Harshey discovered Eeyore’s tragic story and felt compelled to become his foster mom, providing a home where his journey could begin to inspire others. After spending time with him, she decided to share a video on her TikTok profile about Eeyore’s plight.
