When discussing dog rights, we must acknowledge that every dog is entitled to its own yard.
However, this rule can be challenging to enforce. Not every dog gets the opportunity to live in a home with a yard. Reese’s Puffs was one such dog.
This adorable red Aussie Shepherd spent his entire life in apartments, with outdoor visits limited to walk time.
Now, Reese’s pawrents decided it was time for a change, and you wouldn’t believe where they moved: to a home with a yard!
Oh, how thrilled Reese would be!
Is That… Is That A Back Yard?
Reese’s family hails from Austin, Texas. Before owning their own cozy house, they lived in an apartment—nothing wrong with that! But both Reese’s mom and dad knew they wanted to own a house one day.
A property with a yard for Reese and them to enjoy together.
That day had finally arrived!
Without Reese suspecting a thing, Mom and Dad moved their belongings into the new house and then brought Reese to explore his new abode.
In a video shared by The Dodo, Reese eagerly waits to enter and sniff around his new territory.
He investigates like a little detective dog, delighted to find familiar scents from their old home.
And then… Reese completely lost it. He spotted a glass door, and what lay beyond filled this Texas-based mini Aussie Shepherd with excitement.
A backyard!
“That’s your yard… Yeah… It’s your yard… It’s yours,” said Dad in the video.
If Reese could express himself, he would certainly exclaim: Really? Really? Oh, boy! Oh, boy! Oh, boy! Oh, boy! Oh, boy!
Reese was such a good boy. He didn’t just explore his yard; he spent countless hours playing in it.
But that wasn’t the only surprise. Mom had one more special treat for the day. She organized a ball party! She literally brought out a box full of tennis balls and scattered them throughout the yard.
Reese was absolutely overjoyed.
The only downside of having a yard was that now Reese never wanted to leave it, like ever.
Now, getting him out for walks has become quite the challenge. However, once he sees his four-legged friends are joining, he happily hops along.
At the end of the day, Reese settles down in his backyard, relishing all the space Mom and Dad provided for him.
Life was sweet for Reese, and it just got even sweeter. A lively pup, a true dognado, now has plenty of room outside for playful zoomies, sunbathing, and leading an active lifestyle.
