She Was Literally Freezing
The Stray Rescue of St. Louis team recently received a distressing call. A compassionate passerby had spotted a shivering dog curled up on a porch, alone and in dire need of assistance. Their immediate call to the rescue team reached Donna Lochmann, a leading officer, and her team, who quickly mobilized. They soon found a sweet face nestled in a furry ball, waiting for help.
The dog displayed remarkable sweetness, remaining still as Donna approached, almost as if she understood that help was on the way. While the details of her abandonment remained unclear, the rescuers swiftly shifted their focus to saving the dog, who was in desperate need of warmth.
You Matter And Deserve A Family
Within moments, this charming puppy won over the hearts of everyone at the rescue. Named Comfy Cozy due to her love for soft, comfy things, she was described as “the white pup with adorable ears, found shivering on a porch, longing for a peaceful home.” After being rescued, her next journey was to find a suitable foster home as she adjusted to the kindness shown to her at the facility.
Comfy Cozy was bewildered by the overwhelming kindness displayed by her rescuers. As the rescue noted,
“She had NO IDEA a helping hand would come for her; she was so confused. ‘Wait, you’re here for….me?’ Yes, we are here for you! You matter, you are beautiful, you deserve a family and a couch and toys and treats and a Christmas sweater,”
