A heartbreaking story unfolds in Southern California where a small gray-and-white dog was found lying in a school parking lot, next to the school’s shrubs, waiting for her abandoned family to return. She hid from anyone who approached, refusing to leave that spot, unaware that her previous owners would not come back.
Little Doggo Girl Was Inclined To Wait For Her Hoomans To Come Back

For fifteen days, this little dog steadfastly remained in the parking lot, still hoping for her family’s return. Despite the efforts of many to assist her, including sharing her photos online, no one claimed her. Even when approached, she would hide away until a woman named Suzette Hall arrived.
Suzette Made Sure The Dog Got A Fresh Start

Suzette, founder of Logan’s Legacy animal rescue in Irvine, California, was determined to help. Upon discovering the dog’s plight, she headed to the school to locate her. After fifteen days of her waiting by the school, Suzette realized the little dog was too scared to accept help. “She was there morning, noon, and night, waiting for her family,” she remarked.
Understanding the dog’s fear, Suzette set a humane trap using a hot dog as bait. Once caught, the terrified dog calmed down and eventually fell asleep in Suzette’s car. She named the dog “Scarlet.”

Afterward, she took Scarlet to Camino Pet Hospital in Irvine for a checkup. Scarlet received the care she required and was promptly cleared for a new foster home. Shortly after, she joined a new foster family with plenty of siblings to play with.
Little Scarlet Is Seeking A Furever Home

Although now happily settled in her foster home, Scarlet is on the lookout for her forever family. This charming dog is easy-going and affectionate, getting along with everyone she meets. Suzette only has one requirement for Scarlet’s future adopters—they must promise never to abandon her again. It’s crucial that Scarlet learns the meaning of true love, and we hope she finds her perfect home soon!
