Abandonment of dogs is one of the most heartbreaking things that can happen to them. It often leaves them confused and alone, thinking their owners will return. Unfortunately, for many, this ends in despair. This story is about an abandoned Pit Bull named Daenerys, whose life took a turn for the better.
Daenerys Was So Broken
When Daenerys was discovered, she was alone, abandoned by her previous owner. A man found her in a distressed state, malnourished and afraid of everyone, yet still hopeful for kindness. He sought help from friends, and Tara promptly volunteered to give Daenerys a new lease on life.
Upon bringing Daenerys home to Arizona, Tara was astonished at her resilience. As she shared with The Dodo: “The craziest thing was, this dog still came up to me, wagging her tail.” They were surprised to see how quickly Daenerys warmed up to people, indicating her past with an owner had not completely dimmed her trust.
Despite her rough start, Daenerys regained strength and began enjoying her foster mom’s company. Tara took great care of her, feeding her regularly and nurturing their bond. Within a few days, Daenerys was able to walk, marking a significant milestone in her recovery journey.
She Is Such A Cheerful Dog
As Daenerys grew stronger, her playful nature emerged. She loved spending time with Tara and quickly became attached to her newfound toys. With each passing day, Daenerys thrived, gaining weight and energy. Tara decided to take her to the lake for a fun day out, and to her delight, Daenerys jumped right in, joyfully splashing around.
Although Tara cherished having Daenerys with her, she knew the time would come for her to find a forever home. She took her time, stating, “She’s been ready for a home for several months now; she’s just waiting for the perfect family.” Finally, she found a loving owner in Colorado, leading to an immediate and heartfelt decision to adopt.
Daenerys truly deserves a wonderful family, and the outcome of her journey warms my heart.
