People often underestimate the incredible resilience and strength of dogs.
Although they do not deserve the emotional trauma of living outdoors for extended periods, they display an amazing ability to overcome adversity.
This remarkable quality is highlighted in the tale of an injured dog discovered in a cemetery prior to her rescue.
A Heartbreaking Discovery

When Eve was first discovered by her rescuer, Stacey Habecker, she was in a dire situation with severe injuries.
Without immediate medical assistance, her chances of survival were slim. It was a stroke of luck that Stacey found her when she did.
Stacey acted swiftly. Understanding Eve’s suffering, she took her straight to a veterinarian.
Just witnessing her injuries is heartbreaking; I can’t fathom the struggles she faced as a stray.

After making the decision, Stacey carried Eve for 20 straight minutes to the vet, and once they arrived, there was a great deal of work ahead.
A thorough examination revealed that Eve had scabies, posing a serious threat to her health and being contagious to humans.
This concerned Stacey, but the good news was that scabies is treatable.
The vet also determined that Eve had likely been a mother at some point but had lost her puppies, which devastated Stacey.
A Fresh Start for Eve

After some time spent at the vet, Eve finally overcame her critical condition and received her first round of medication.
Though she will require continued medication for a while, the path to recovery has begun.
Stacey welcomed Eve into her home, helping her adjust and providing her with plenty of food.
All was going well until an astounding surprise unfolded. On Christmas morning, Stacey discovered that Eve had given birth to five adorable puppies.

Although caught off guard, Stacey couldn’t have been happier to see Eve become a mother. She chose to name the puppies Comet, Blitzen, Dasher, Vixen, and Bucket.
Even with Eve continuing her medication for health issues, her life has taken a positive turn with her new puppies by her side.
Thankfully, Stacey is there to support Eve and her pups until they are healthy and ready for adoption.
