When the construction crew arrived at a site in Round Rock, Texas, they were unprepared for the astonishing sight that awaited them.
While immersed in their tasks, they unexpectedly heard the sound of a puppy crying. They quickly scanned their surroundings, eager to identify where the distress was coming from.
As they looked up, they were taken aback to see a hawk gripping a small, helpless puppy in its talons.
Shortly after, the hawk released the Chihuahua, allowing it to fall to the ground before soaring away. The concerned workers swiftly gathered the puppy and rushed him to an emergency veterinary clinic.
Miracle Puppy
The workers were hopeful for the puppy’s recovery. After examination, the vet confirmed that he was in decent health, with only minor injuries from the hawk’s claws.
Upon scanning for a microchip, the vet found none. With no one coming forward to claim him, he was taken to Austin Animal Center.
The shelter welcomed the adorable puppy and provided him with the care he needed. At an estimated 6 weeks old, the little pup quickly stole the hearts of the staff, who showered him with the affection he craved.
Amazed by his incredible survival, they named him “Miracle Puppy.”
“When I encountered this little puppy shortly after he arrived in our shelter, all he desired was to be cradled. He was connected to an IV for fluids, yet he persistently attempted to walk to the front of his kennel to reach me. I hugged him as much as possible, trying to avoid disturbing his IV. He’s truly a sweetheart,” Jennifer Olohan, the communication and media manager for Austin Animal Center, shared with The Dodo.
The team at the shelter was thrilled to learn that their beloved puppy would make a full recovery. Fortunately, he had sustained no internal injuries.
Choosing The Ideal Forever Home For Tony Hawk
The shelter reached out to one of their fosters, Renee Bonifay Keyes, to see if she could care for the puppy at home. She gladly accepted the invitation. Her family lavished him with love and attention.
Keyes’ son aptly named the puppy Tony Hawk, inspired by the pro skateboarder, as the little canine had managed to evade the hawk’s grip and survived a fall from the sky.
Encircled by care and warmth, Tony made a speedy recovery. Several adoption applications poured in for him, but his foster mom was determined to select the perfect family for the little guy.
Meanwhile, Georgia Bramhall and her family were heartbroken over the disappearance of their cherished Chihuahua, Bentley, who had gone missing months earlier. They never gave up hope of finding him.
Upon hearing about Tony Hawk, the Chihuahua who had been dropped from the sky, she knew that she had to meet him, so she paid a visit.
It was love at first sight for Bramhall as she laid eyes on the adorable Chihuahua, and a deep bond quickly formed between them. Excited to become his forever mom, she filled out the adoption application.
